Fiskerizakajaen is potentially one of Nordvest’s most exciting places for food lovers, hosting one-off pop-ups that bring chefs and projects from all over the world to Copenhagen. For my birthday, I finally made it to one of their events: a Korean-inspired dinner by Project.Romantika. I stumbled on Red Temper while exploring Nordvest on Google Maps — and it was delicious. A small Korean spot on Borups Allé, it serves up crispy fried chicken, refreshing hibiscus lemonade, and truly kind service. A slight order mix-up turned into a great experience, and the food more than satisfied my Korean craving. Not perfect, but definitely worth adding to your takeout list.

With its industrial charm and relaxed vibe, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to—whether for a quiet morning coffee, a casual lunch, or a sunny seat outside.

Thaifood in Nordvest is more than just an Asian grocery store—it’s a warm, welcoming spot filled with inspiring ingredients, fresh produce, and neighborhood charm. Whether you’re after noodles, mushrooms, gyozas, or mochi, this shop sparks dinner ideas and cozy rituals alike.

After years of walking past Naan Barbari and inhaling its incredible scent, I finally stepped inside—and instantly regretted not doing it sooner. From the warm, handmade naan to the friendly service and unbeatable prices, this hidden gem delivers far more than just good smells. Trust me: supermarket naan is officially canceled.

Heat Harmony opened in late 2024 just minutes from my home — and it’s quickly become a favorite. With a spacious sauna that reaches 93°C, cold plunges at 4°C, and thoughtful details like lockers and essential oil previews, the experience feels both elevated and welcoming. Beyond the sauna, they’re building real community in Nordvest with weekly runs, buns + coffee, and creative wellness events. A seriously refreshing addition to the neighborhood.

Lygten Bazar in Nordvest is a vibrant market offering an impressive variety of fresh and specialty foods. From hard-to-find leafy greens like swiss chard to over 15 types of labneh, it caters to diverse tastes. The bazar also features a fresh fish market, quality meat counter, and freshly baked bread. Whether shopping for specific ingredients or exploring new flavors, Lygten Bazar consistently delivers a unique and satisfying experience.

Bellahøj Svømmestadion is one of Copenhagen’s largest swimming centers — a great spot for an affordable, low-impact workout. With both 25m and 50m pools, a sauna, and even a summer outdoor pool with a slide, it’s an easy place to build a swim routine. Bonus: you might spot the Danish national team training in the next lane.

Smedetoften has quietly become one of Nordvest’s most creative corners. At its heart is the Youth Culture House — a space for making, learning, and hanging out, with everything from 3D printers to communal dinners. Stop by for NaboSøndag, check out the Repair Café, grab a bottle from Høtoft, dine at Fiskerizakajaen, and stroll past the Gadegalleriet murals. It’s Nordvest at its most vibrant and community-driven.
