Thaifood – My Go-To for Gyozas, Noodles, and a Little Culinary Adventure

Long before I lived in Nordvest, I knew about Thaifood. I’d pass it on my way to the swimming pool and it quickly became the place I would go to for any Japanese, Chinese, and Korean ingredients in the area. I even made special trips there after a Japanese Cuisine Meyer cooking class, in search of bonito flakes to recreate one of the dishes we’d made.
Over time, my visits became more occasional—usually to pick up a mochi treat or something small—but since moving to Nordvest a few years ago, Thaifood has quietly become one of my regular spots.
Now, it’s where I go whenever I want to stock up on interesting mushrooms, try a new type of noodle (they have so many!), or grab a few packs of gyozas for those “I need comfort food, now” nights when I definitely don’t feel like cooking from scratch. It’s also where I buy myself flowers—a little ritual that feels extra special when it involves picking them up alongside fresh produce and unexpected pantry treasures.
There’s always something inspiring at Thaifood—rows of sauces and spices that spark dinner ideas, and crisp, fresh veggies lined up outside. The people behind the counter are consistently kind and smiling, and there’s a warm neighborhood vibe that makes it more than just a store.
If you’re curious about Asian cuisine or simply need a reliable place to get inspired for dinner, Thaifood is a little Nordvest treasure worth visiting!
