Before Nordvest became dotted with cafés, studios, and wine bars, Vin de Table was already there — a real wine shop with roots, history, and a founder who never planned to end up in wine at all. I met with Christopher Melin, the man behind Melin Vin, to talk about how a teacher-turned-wine importer built one of the neighborhood’s cornerstone businesses — and why Nordvest still feels like home.

Smedetoften has quietly become one of Nordvest’s most creative corners.
