Where to watch the World Cup in Nordvest

The FIFA World Cup has been running for a few weeks now, and we're down to the last stretch: 1/8-finals, quarters, semis, and the final all coming across the next couple of weeks. Which is also when the biggest audiences show up β€” not just for your first team, but for the second, third, and honestly even fourth country you quietly grew attached to during the group stage.

Apart from Pool Pub, which shows sports year-round in a super cool pool-table-and-booth atmosphere, Nordvest doesn't have the big-screen sports culture the pubs in the city do. But the neighbourhood has quietly built out a solid list of spots to head to when you want to cheer with a crowd. Here's where to head over:

🎯 Gamma NV

The obvious pick. Big TV, a taproom that holds a large crowd without feeling packed, many beers/wine/cider/cocktails so nobody's stuck with the wrong drink. Classic choice you can’t go wrong with.

🍷 kima

kima has been showing the summer's sports (the tour as well!) on their screen alongside the natural wine and spisebar dinners. Cosy rather than raucous β€” good if you want to actually taste your wine while watching. Big outside TV.

β˜€οΈ Autopoul

The sun-trap courtyard bar on Hejrevej. If the match falls on a warm afternoon or early evening, you can watch outdoors with a natural wine in hand. This is their last summer before closing, so double reason to go. Small TV in the covered area doesnt hold a large crowd, but a good vibe is promised.

🍺 Flying Couch Bar

Nordvest's newest re-opened addition! Tucked away on Bygmestervej, the newly reopened tap room has a large space and many chairs to host you to watch the games. Proper beer bar, and the tap list is long enough to keep you happy through extra time.

🎱 Pool-Pub

The most obviously sports-bar of the bunch: multiple screens around the room, plus pool tables and other games if the match runs slow. Kitchen and beer list are long enough to make a proper session out of it.

🍻 Laugskroen

Old-school Copenhagen bodega right off of Tagensvej, showing football as long as anyone can remember. Classic vibes, reasonable pints, regulars at the bar, and the kind of atmosphere where a well-timed goal actually gets a cheer.

πŸ₯ƒ Viggos Bar

The family-run classic (also known as Viggos Vinstue). Has hosted the Champions League final, FA Cup final, and pretty much every big match. Open noon β†’ 5:30 AM, so yes β€” they'll stay open for a late kickoff.

πŸ“… How to know when each spot is showing what

None of these venues publish full match-by-match viewing schedules in advance β€” they typically announce day-of on Instagram. Follow the accounts above, or keep an eye on their stories the morning of a match.
