Urban Camper – A Surprisingly Fun Spot for Drinks & Games

I have to admit, the first time I set foot in Urban Camper, I did not know what to expect: I had been out to dinner at a friend's place, and when starting to think about the next stage of the evening, someone mentioned that you could play games there. None of us had been before, but on a whim, we decided to check it out and play some shuffleboard. It ended up bring a really really fun night!

The beer selection solid but not too many that you get confused and do not know what to order: they’ve got a solid mix of classics and a few wild cards, so you’ll definitely find something you like. They also have a few snacks if you get hungry, but the real draw of the place is that you can play games while you’re there. I didn’t think I’d enjoy shuffleboard that much, but here we are. You can also play petanque and pool, making it a great spot if you want to mix up your usual bar night with a bit of friendly competition. (Side note: playing petanque is free from October 1st to April 1st and they have free shuffleboard every Tuesday as well as sometimes during school vacations).

Urban Camper also has a huge terrace, which is perfect for summer hangouts. And if you’re looking for food options, keep an eye out—Nørrebro Center has been getting remodeled, and by late 2025, there will be even more food spots downstairs!

It might not be the first place that comes to mind for a night out, but honestly, sometimes it’s just really fun to let loose, grab some drinks, and play a few rounds of shuffleboard (or petanque, or pool!). The team has really done a great job at transformation the bar area into a neighborhood hangout spot in its own right. Definitely worth checking out if you’re up for something a bit different!
