- BaronsView
If you know someone (yes women can wear their shirts too!) in Copenhagen who needs to wear a crisp, well-cut shirt to his corporate job, there’s a very high chance he wears BARONS. What most people don’t know is that this premium shirt brand operates right out of Bispevej. Founded in 2016 by two former Deloitte consultants, BARONS set out to perfect the classic business shirt, selling exclusively online to cut out the retail markup. Every single shirt is produced and sewn in Europe using 100% certified organic cotton, and the entire garment has no harmful chemicals against your skin. It’s premium, intentional, and being run right above your favorite local lunch spot.

- OITO StudiosView
Launched in 2022, OITO Studios creates curtains that are treated as active design elements—shaping the light, privacy, and mood of a room. The name itself comes from the Portuguese word for "eight" (a nod to the founder's time living in Brazil), reflecting the eight corners of a room, eight hours of rest, and the infinity sign representing their ambition to upcycle old curtains into new design solutions. The best part? Everything takes place under one single roof on Rentemestervej. Whether you're a private resident or an architect designing a commercial space, their process is perfectly simple: you send them a photo of your space, and they handle the rest with beautiful, transparent local craftsmanship.

- ArgentumView
The creative force behind Argentum actually lives right in my building! She ran her gallery and silver workshop here in Nordvest for nearly six years before recently relocating her physical headquarters to Ballerup, but her heart and community ties are still deeply rooted in Nordvest. She is widely known for her stunning, organic jewelry cast from natural elements like pine and salt, as well as her brilliant upcycling work giving old silver spoons a second life. But she also brings people together through the power of making; I actually attended one of her local linoleum print workshops at Storm B before Christmas and ended up creating all of my holiday cards entirely by hand.
- Rikke JensenView
If you’ve spent any time browsing a local Nordvest flea market, you’ve almost certainly run into the gorgeous graphic work of Rikke. As a professional designer who has lived in the Fuglekvarteret since 2002, she has had a front-row seat to the area's massive transformation over the last two decades. Her art beautifully archives that exact transition, capturing a neighborhood that is simultaneously changing and staying exactly the same—where old-school brown bodegas stand proudly right alongside hairdressers and hip new wine joints. Hanging one of her local motifs on your wall means keeping a piece of Nordvest’s living history right in your home.
- DuepiggeView
Spring cleaning season is officially here, and if you have a balcony in Nordvest, you know the annual pain of scrubbing away endless bird poop. It’s a battle we fight every year. When I went looking for a solution to stop birds from nesting on our balcony, I didn't want ugly, aggressive metal spikes that would ruin our flower setups or block our view. Enter Duepigge.dk, based right on Birkedommervej. They manufacture a super thin, discreet wire system that sits a few centimeters above your balcony railing. It completely stops pigeons and birds from landing there in the first place, without turning your outdoor space into a fortress. It's a hyper-specific local solution to a very real city problem!

- HobbiiView
If you’ve ever walked down Dortheavej and spotted the massive Hobbii logo, you might have wondered what goes on behind those windows. Founded right here in 2015, Hobbii started with a simple mission: to make knitting and crocheting more accessible and inspiring. Today, they are a massive international success story, shipping over 1.5 million packages a year from their warehouse and working with over 350+ global designers to curate a library of 16,500+ patterns. Even though they've scaled globally, their heart is still very much a cozy, community-driven space. They even host weekly digital "Hobbii Bingo" nights to bring solo knitters together to laugh and talk yarn. Next time you want to pick up a creative hobby, skip the massive corporate craft stores and buy your yarn straight from the geeks on Dortheavej.

- MillFactory NuVenueView
A 400 m² recording studio with deep roots in Danish music — founded in 1985 as Werner Studios, one of the country's biggest. Producer Boe Larsen took it over in 2000 and rebranded as MillFactory NuVenue. The newer NuVenue setup adds eight robot cameras controlled from the control room, so a session can stream live in multi-cam — recording and broadcast in the same building on Rentemestervej.

- STC StudiosView
Recording studio at one of the most legendary addresses in Danish music. Founder Svend Christiansen ran Sun Studio at this same Dortheavej 4 from 1978 to 2006 — the Disney / Warner / DreamWorks dubbing house behind The Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast in Danish. After Sun Studio was acquired, he started STC Studios ("Space To Create") in 2007 in the same space and still runs both music recording and animation dubbing here.
